Philip
Martin was awarded a FRAM by the Royal Academy of Music in London
presented by Yehudi Menuhin.
This was shortly after his very successful
performance of Rachmaninov's Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini at
a BBC Promenade Concert which was televised on " Omnibus at
the Proms".
His teaching, both private, and at the Birmingham Conservatoire,
where he is a senior lecturer, has produced a new generation of
prize-winning pianists.
Constantly in demand, Philip has given masterclasses in such
diverse countries as Japan, Mexico, the USA and Canada, where
he has held several residencies, and at the Paris Conservatoire
in France.
He now lives in The Malverns, England, where his teaching expertise
in piano and composition is much sought after.
